I look forward to following how Backdrop does and if/how the community supports the effort. If nothing else it provides a good evening of discussion at local user groups. We had a lively discussion last night at the SacDug meeting. If Backdrop hopes to "compete" with WordPress there will need to be a lot of "designers" and non-coders on board, so I do think this fork has a chance, but it will really need to streamline the process for us partial coders. Best of luck and will see you at BADCamp.
Formatting options
Basic
To post pieces of code, surround them with <code>...</code> tags. For PHP code, you can use <?php ... ?>, which will also color it based on syntax.
Web page addresses and email addresses turn into links automatically, unless the parent tag has the 'nolink' class.
Lines and paragraphs break automatically.
