Thanks for spotting that. I have edited the article to say that I think we should focus on the current community. I know the Drupal 8 dev team loves this community too, and I don't want that to be taken the wrong way. It's not that I believe that current Drupal developers *can't* learn these approaches. I believe they *won't*. I also believe the are not necessary - so it's hard to fault them for not wanting to learn. Also, to reiterate what I said in my original post: The problem is not a lack of training and documentation, the problem is that the system itself needs to make more sense.
Formatting options
Basic
To post pieces of code, surround them with <code>...</code> tags. For PHP code, you can use <?php ... ?>, which will also color it based on syntax.
Web page addresses and email addresses turn into links automatically, unless the parent tag has the 'nolink' class.
Lines and paragraphs break automatically.
Allowed HTML tags: <a> <em> <strong> <blockquote> <code> <ul> <ol> <li> <div> <p> <br> <pre> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <figure> <img> <figcaption> <hr>
