Hi Ben, thanks for your comment. I'm sorry you feel the way you do, but I can understand your viewpoint. The reason I think idea sharing between Drupal and Backdrop might be more beneficial than idea sharing between Drupal and say, WordPress, is because our concepts are more similar, and we did, afterall, start from the same place. Here's an example of how we are still working together: In Backdrop land, we started copying Drupal 8's usage of .yml files instead of .info files for modules, but we discovered that that approach had implications on the amount of memory used (see our <a href="https://github.com/backdrop/backdrop-issues/issues/78#issuecomment-24485072">issue</a> for more details). Shortly afterwards, in Drupal land, a similar issue was opened (see the Drupal <a href="https://drupal.org/node/2089681">issue</a> fore more details) because of Backdrop's findings. We may have to disagree on the meaning of the term "community". I see a lot of the same people in the issue queues for both projects, so - to me - we are still one community. Only time will tell whether things stay that way.
Formatting options
Basic
To post pieces of code, surround them with <code>...</code> tags. For PHP code, you can use <?php ... ?>, which will also color it based on syntax.
Web page addresses and email addresses turn into links automatically, unless the parent tag has the 'nolink' class.
Lines and paragraphs break automatically.
