Well, It sounds like Drupal 8 is the right tool for you. However, there are a lot of people who feel that creating a link should not need to be that complicated. We believe it is not necessary to replace a simple function for spitting out an anchor tag with a routing service for generating links. For us, I'm planning on working on Backdrop. To each his (or her) own? :)
Formatting options
Basic
To post pieces of code, surround them with <code>...</code> tags. For PHP code, you can use <?php ... ?>, which will also color it based on syntax.
Web page addresses and email addresses turn into links automatically, unless the parent tag has the 'nolink' class.
Lines and paragraphs break automatically.
